Neoclassical architecture with pillars etc., Rococo Altar decoration, simple but pretty stained glass windows of the annunciation and all that. This is a 19th century church just near where the new Pont Cardinet metro station has been built on line 14. This is the Roman Catholic cathedral, built in the 19th century. I really liked this church in particular from the outside - it stands just across from the modern art museum. Inside, there are ornate marbly pillars and a painted ceiling - what's not to like? This church also has the prettiest lectern I have seen all year. You will see on the noticeboard, as this is Ottawa, absolutely everything is in two languages. In France, stop signs say « Stop ». In Ottawa, they say « Stop - Arrêt ». Smart thinking I reckon.
