55 Paris 4th arrondissement Notre Dame des Blancs Manteaux (No actual white coats left)
Built in the 17th century the name of the church is rather intriguing: Our Lady of the White Coats. Nothing medical - the church just replaced the monastery of the white coats which used to stand on the site, and which was so named because the monks wore, well, white coats. So I photographed the things I usually like to photograph - apart from large spaces and intricate perspectives, I like to check out the baptismal font, the stations of the cross and the pulpit. The pulpit is very lovely. There also an extremely old carved picture of St Peter busy denying Christ as the cock crows, which a really nice passing priest explained to me.
